Welcome Back!

Welcome Back Dragons! It was great to see all of you last week at Meet the Teacher. We know this is a tough time for some of our Pre-k and Kindergarten parents who will be leaving their children for the first time. The best thing you can do for your child is to be excited about this new adventure and encourage your child to have a great first day as a dragon.

We encourage you to read this smore in its entirety for important First Day Procedures. Please reach out to your teacher if you do not know your idismiss number. This number is important to help our dismissal run smoothly. We do anticipate a longer than normal dismissal this week, so please be patient with us as we get your children to you safely.

PTA will be selling Forester Spirit shirts on Monday morning from 7:20 - 7:45AM. You may purchase shirts with cash, card, or check. Our school fundraiser will also be starting soon! You may register your child at MYBOOSTER.COM today to start earning prizes for your child and class.

Don't forget to post your Back to School pictures on our Facebook page so your child may be featured in the yearbook. You may join us at https://www.facebook.com/Foresterdragons

Love,

Mrs. Mantle & Mrs. Perez

Dismissal Procedures

Please refer to the graphic above for dismissal procedures. We have 5 options to dismiss Forester students:

1. Bus Riders

2. Parent Drive Up

3. Parent Walk Up

4. Unaccompanied Walker

5. Learning Tree

Parent Drive Up - If you choose to stay in your vehicle and pick up your child, your child will be a parent drive up. You will drive thru the front of the school and your child will be called using their IDismiss number. Please display this number every day to speed up the pick up line.

Parent Walk Up - If you choose to park in the side parking lot and get out of your vehicle, you will be a parent walk up. You will park your vehicle, walk to the side door, give your iDismiss number to the staff member, and your child will be sent down using their IDismiss number. Your child will exit the side door where you are located.

Unaccompanied Walkers - If you choose to have your child walk home, they will be an unaccompanied walker. These students will be escorted to the end of the Forester driveway and they will walk home. Staff will not wait for parents to pick up, as this is not a parent pick up location.

Bus Riders, Learning Tree, & Daycare - If you choose to have your child go to Learning Tree, ride the bus, or take a daycare bus after school, please communicate this with your child's teacher and call the office before 2:00PM to discuss any changes to pick up. You child will be escorted to the gym or cafeteria at the end of the day. Students must be signed up for Learning Tree before attending.

FREE Lunch and Breakfast

We are pleased to inform you that Forester will be implementing the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the 23-24 school year. This means that all students enrolled at Forester Elemtary are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch each day at no charge. Your children enrolled at Forester will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay for meals or submit a Free & Reduced Meal Application. Families with student(s) enrolled in CEP campuses can answer questions which will determine if the student will qualify as Economically Disadvantaged.
