What's Happening in the Classroom??
- Math: Students will be working on our last unit of math which is a continuation of multiplication and division problem solving. Click here for the Unit 6 Parent Letter. Please continue to review and practice multiplication and division facts as much as possible at home!
- ELA: Students will be starting their last unit which will be focusing on Forces and Interactions. Click here for the Unit 10 Parent Letter. Additionally, students will be reading the book "The Lemonade War" in small groups.
- Writing: Students will continue to practice the three types of writing: Narrative, Informational, and Opinion.
- Innovation: Students will be completing a Fidget Spinner STEM challenge this week. Please have students bring their fidget spinner in if they have one.
Zoo Field Trip 6/9
- The chaperones for the field trip are: Sian Powell, Renee Schmelzer, Brenda Hensley, Stephanie Walker,Kjristi Burningham, Jamie Arden, Jessica Zeait, and Adriana Tovar. Looking forward to a great day at the zoo!!

Hw and Weekly Reflections
- While there is no homework sent home each night, students are expected to read every night for at least 30 minutes.
- Additionally students can also be working on any online program at home for additional practice: Dreambox, Tenmarks, and Lexia

LEAP SUMMER CAMPS
If you are looking for summer camps for your child, San Marcos Promise is offering courses and extended day care through the Boys and Girls Club. Mrs. Hughes will be teaching Makerspace Design Challenge: Oceanography and Astronomy. This will focus on going the design process and creating a prototype. Mrs. Barnes will be teaching a class on Speedometry. Check out The San Marcos Promise website for more other class selections.
