American Education Week Visitation Day
Please join us in celebrating American Education Week! Skyview’s annual parent visitation day is Thursday, November 16, 2017. Please consider visiting your child’s class during one of these sessions: 9:00– 11 a.m. or 1– 2:45 p.m. All visitors will be required to sign in at our main office.
Skyview students have been using the story, “We’re All Wonders,” by R.J. Palacio in small group lessons to talk about respect. We invite all those who attend to share something “Wonder”-ful about our school by filling out a star for our bulletin board with a compliment about your child, a staff member or our school community.

Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent-teacher conferences are being planned for the afternoons of Monday, November 20, Tuesday, November 21 and Wednesday, November 22, 2017. In order to accommodate the needs of our students and families, conferences will be offered in varying formats – both with whole academic team and partial teams. Conferences will last for 15 minutes. We encourage students to participate in these conferences as well.
Please note each student will receive a letter indicating if the team is requesting a conference. Please return this form as appropriate. You will receive confirmation of your conference appointment along with location and names of teachers you will be meeting with at the assigned date/time.
Communication on student progress is very important and takes many forms – from progress reports and report cards to e-mails, parent portal information, to phone calls and in-face meetings. We value the input of our parents and are working to consistently maintain a partnership to help our children succeed and grow.
If you have any questions regarding the conference process, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher.Skyview Upper Elementary School
