What a wonderful week celebrating reading and books. Thank you to all of our families who volunteered, shopped, or just came to join us on our Family Reading Night. Remember, you can continue to pledge your Wildcat until September 29th. Thank you!

For the next month, we will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. Look for heritage learning projects all month long, culminating with our International Fashion Show where we celebrate the heritage of all our students at the end of this month. Please reach out to Ms. Wittry if you would like to student to participate.

This week, our 5th grade students are off to Astrocamp to have a fun filled three days of learning. We can't wait to hear all about it when they return. Have a great time!

On Monday, our Vision and Hearing screenings will continue with Mrs. Teran's class. Please feel free to contact the Health Office if you have any questions.

This Thursday, our PTA is sponsoring a special assembly by Mr. Michael Raynor, Juggler Extraordinaire. He was a hit with our students at our Family Fun Day and we are excited to host him. See some of his past performances HERE. Thank you, PTA!

This Friday, there will be no school for students. This will be a non-work day for teachers, but offices will be open. We hope you enjoy the long weekend.

We need three to five volunteers to help us install our sod in the front of our school this Saturday, September 23rd. Mrs. Brotons and her husband will be leading this effort and has requested a little help getting the sod into place. It will require lifting of sod pieces from a pallet to the installation area. If you have any time, from 8:00am to 12:00pm, please come help. Feel free to reach out to Mrs. Brambila for details. Thank you!

The Willard Annual Fund is hosting a school-wide rummage sale again this year on October 14th to raise funds for the science program and we need your donations! We are accepting clothing, shoes, books, toys, games, home goods, decor, sports equipment, etc.

Your donations can be dropped in the donation box inside the main doors. We are also in need of plastic & paper shopping bags and clothing hangers.
Please drop them in the donation box with the other donations.

The more donations we get, the more funds we can raise. Thank you in advance for your generous donations! All items donated will become property of Willard Annual Fund. Items that do not sell will be donated to Acts Thrift Store.

Items we cannot accept:
• Liquid cleaning products and hazardous products/waste (paint, oil, etc.)
• Weapons
• Gas-powered tools and garden equipment
• Garage door openers
• Construction materials
• Large appliances
• Plumbing fixtures, water heaters & water filtration systems
