What was the change ?

The Renaissance meaning "New Birth" is meant that new enthusiasm for classical literature, learning, and art which sprang up in Italy towards the close of the Middle Ages, and which during the course of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries gave a new culture to Europe.

Who were the people associated with the change ?

Leonardo DA Vinci: was and is best known as an artist, the creator of such masterpieces as the Mona Lisa, Madonna of the Rocks, The Last Supper, Vitruvian man, and Fetus in the womb.

Michelangelo: Was well known for his great famous statues The David, and The Pietà. He was also know for his amazing paintings such as The Sistine Chapel, The Creation of Adam, and The Last Judgement.

How did the change impact society at the time ?

It was a time where people weren't worried about much people were able to enjoy art, learning, and literature became important again so that people were educated. the renaissance was also a era where people were developing new technologies and started to question how people came to be, and which also affected society today .

How is that change seen in today's modern society ?

The Renaissance did not only change Europe. It changed the world. The introduction of classical humanistic ideas caused people to truly question openly for the first time in history without fear. Not only was there an explosion in cultural forms of art, such as mannerism and baroque, but people also shared ideas regarding society and politics. Machiavelli wrote "The Prince" during the Renaissance and became the father of modern political theory. he wrote his work hundreds of years ago and we're still studying it and applying it today. You also had the split from the Roman Catholic Church that created religious wars until today. Art soared to unsurpassed heights with Michelangelo's Sistine ceiling. Durer, in the Northern Renaissance created engravings for the printing press, allowing the common man for the first time ever to have art and communication made available. People went from absolute monarchies, to balance of power and diplomacy to solve disputes. It truly was an age of advancement for humanity.
