  • The 21 age has been a failure

Raising the age hasn't decreased drinking, It has increased it. It has driven it underground and in secret.

    Why was it changed?

National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 made states raise the age by threatening to cut highway funds.

Return the age back to 18

Alcohol poisoning deaths have tripled since 1998. We should look at Europe when it comes to drinking. Europe posses way lower binge drinking rates than us. We don't hand teenagers car keys without first educating them about how to. We should do the same about alcohol.

Accidents are higher among new drivers regardless. Should we raise the driving age to 40? New drivers then would still be at more risk for crashes.

    We need an open debate!

If the government got rid of that highway cut threat, I think we would have a much different story and an open dialogue.

    Drink and Teach Responsible

Among drinkers only, 32% of under age compared to 24% of legal age are heavy drinkers.

28% of high school students admit to missing at least one class over the course of a year because they have a hangover.
