7th Grade Religion
Week of August 31, 2015
This week in Religion...
We continued to discuss ways to encourage a strong classroom community. We looked at goals we set for religion class as well as goals we had for the school year. We used those goals to discuss how we can make a positive classroom community. We will continue this discussion next week.
Gratitude was a central theme to class this week. We read "The Quiltmakers Gift" and "The Giving Tree," and talked about how the main characters had different ways of showing gratitude. We ended our discussion by having students write short stories with gratitude as the central theme.
On Friday, we began to talk about parts of the Mass. We talked about different ways we could try and make Mass more interactive. We also watched a video on why Mass is important. We will continue this discussion next week!
