Principal Ponderings: TEAM
Disclaimer: I am sharing a version of this story this week during Honor's Assemblies, so my apologies for the repetitiveness.
I'm not a huge fan of the Grammy's, but I am a huge fan of some things that are witnessed while watching the show. The sheer amount of talent that some individuals have, whether we like their style of music or not, is amazing. Something that is also witnessed is that attitude of gratitude that the winners share during their acceptance speech.
One moment/speech stood out to me and that was the Grammy for Best R&B album (which is shared below). As you watch it, check out the pure elation of the lady behind her. She might be the most stoked person in the room. Second, the recognition by H.E.R. that she did not get to the place she is without her TEAM and then quickly brings them up on stage.
Everyday, we are all successful in our own way, but we didn't do it alone.
Who is on your TEAM? Whose shoulders are you standing on? Who deserves some appreciation and gratitude in your life?
Sidenote: I listened to most of H.E.R.'s album and it is pretty solid even if you aren't into the slow jams which I am normally not.

What I'm Reading: Raise Your Game, Alan Stein, Jr.
In moments where the outlook is dire, it is okay to recognize the predicament and challenges that we are confronted with, however, it is important that as leaders of young people we show that are words can lead us to a positive end result.
