Our Principal
By Charile Folks and Melody Eastman
Mr. Rowland, Grissom's principal said, " One of my most important jobs as a principal is creating a safe environment for everyone , and also assuring a quality education for all students. In my job as a principal I must depend on a lot of people, right? It takes a big team to run a school. "
Cafeteria Duty!`
Mr. Rowland works in the cafeteria when he can. He directs kids to where they need to go. Thank You!
Mrs. Day the Counselor
As a principal, Mr. Rowland has to have someone to help him. For example, if a kid needs something like if the student or students have a a problem they could talk to Mrs. Day, the counselor.
Mr. Rowland and Me
Mr. Rowland enjoys being a principal. And he is very lucky to be in a school like ours.
Before he was a principal, he started as an attorney. Then he decided to be a teacher and taught middle school and high school and was an assistant principal at Carver Middle school and Memorial High school. When he decided to be a teacher, he got a offer to teach at Booker T. Washington High School and found out that teaching is not as easy as people think.
