Covid-19 Testing For Close Contacts

SVUSD has made it possible to test at any location in the district for those students that are close contacts, on modified quarantine, need to test due to have two or more symptoms and need a test to come back to school or for quarantined students that are looking to shorten their quarantine from 10 days to 7 days. Students are able to shorten their quarantine period from 10 days to 7 days if they remain asymptomatic and test negative after the fifth day of their quarantine. Please remember that parents need to sign up for testing by going to this link: Student Testing.

Face Masks

  • Students have a choice to wear face masks or not wear a face mask.

Physical Distancing

  • Physical Distancing will not be required
  • The SVUSD safety plan includes essential COVID mitigation measures such as mask-wearing, hand hygiene, regular cleaning and disinfecting, ventilation, and more
  • Lunch Time- We will do our best to have students seat three feet apart.

Screening and Symptom Checking

  • Parents are required to perform daily health screening checks at home before sending their students to schools, including ensuring each child has a temperature below 100.4 and does not show any cold, cough, or flu-like symptoms.
  • Staff is required to perform daily health and screening checks at home before coming onto campus.
  • Staying home when sick is essential for keeping COVID-19 and other infections out of school and preventing the spread of illness to others.

  • All students will have access to the SVUSD meal programs free of charge while on campus.
