Hawk Happenings!

Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy

Message from the Principal - Oct. 17, 2018

Happy Wednesday!

We have a wonderful event coming up this weekend. It is the Harvest Festival. It will be held on Sunday, Oct. 21st from 1 - 3pm in the school auditorium. This is a fantastic event filled with: games, a cakewalk, a chili cook-off (bring your best recipe), a photo booth, and a caramel-apple bar! We will also provide hot dogs and chips! This entire event is free fun for the whole family. We hope you will join us. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Nina Tatum for her amazing hard work and leadership on this event. If you have any questions about this event, please contact Nina at nina.tatumm@gmail.com or call 253.882.7113. If you are looking for me on Sunday, I'll be at the caramel apple bar...

I also want to say a GIANT THANK YOU to Jennifer Pickles and all of our Assistant Coaches and parent helpers for CYO Cross Country. I know that it was a lot of work to make this season a success but it was so much fun for the kids and the meets were great! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to provide this sport for all of our kids in Pre-K 3 to grade 8. We appreciate your help and we couldn't do any of these events without you.

Blessings,

Katie Dempsey

Big picture

From the Development Desk

Annual Fund:

I hope that you were able to review last week's Annual Fund materials that were sent out in the communication folder. We have a lofty goal as we hope to raise $100,000. This fund is important to our school as it helps fund curriculum, staff training, financial aid, and many other initiatives. We need 100% participation from our families and staff to make this goal. As it states in the Parent Commitment Form that each family signed with their registration packet, every family is expected to donate to the Annual Fund (in an amount appropriate to the family’s circumstances). A fee of $50 will be billed to any family who does not make a donation by January 1, 2019. We hope that you will prayerfully reflect on what is the appropriate amount for your family.

You can easily make a donation online at: https://secure.lglforms.com/form_engine/s/o5kPfZnwU-9YPZxE8gatew or you can fill out the pledge envelope and return to the office. Any questions, please email: smckinney@holyrosarybilingual.org.

iGive:

Have you heard of iGive.com? If you have not, it is a great opportunity to support our school by shopping at over 1,700 online retailers. All you have to do is go to the following link to get started: http://www.igive.com/iNZ78dE Once there, select Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy and a portion of the profits will go to our school. Thank You!

Finally, we want to thank the families who have already sent in their pledges/payments.
