LMS Tiger Talk
March 17, 2023
Principal's Message
Today we celebrated a very successful fundraising season in support of Team CoUREage 4.0 (LHS students Emma Steiner, Marcel Mangan and Orhan Ozbudak) raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. With a goal to reach $100,000, led by our LMS Student Council, LMS students have definitely done their part for this awesome cause, finishing things off today with a school-wide pep assembly. During this fun afternoon, we had a number of staff members take a pie in the face, students participated in a half-court shot competition and we recognized all of our spring sports teams. It was an awesome afternoon and a fun time for our kids! Great job to our Student Council, their staff advisors (Trisha Pitcher and Katie Rose) and all of our students (and their families) for all the contributions supporting Team CoUREage 4.0.
3rd quarter reportt cards are now posted via TigerParent.me. Please be sure to check those out and take a moment to reflect on those with your child. We finished up our 4th Quarter Tiger Up! team meetings with 7th grade teams this week, and we ready for an AWESOME finish to the school year.
Hope everyone is doing well. Let us know if you need anything. Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day and a great weekend.
Take care and Go Tigers!

Student Chromebook Damage
Given some recent situations we have had at school lately regarding student Chromebook damage, we wanted to remind everyone of how school fees are handled regarding broken or damaged school-owned student Chromebook. Per the LMS Student Handbook:
Every Loveland City School District student will all have access to a Chromebook beginning the 2022-2023 school year. These devices will be owned by and controlled by the district. The student has no claim to a specific device, only that the student has a device available for use. It is the expectation that the student cares for the device and prevents damage to the device. NO STICKERS, LABELS, MARKERS OR ANY OTHER DEFACEMENT SHALL BE PLACED ON THE CHROMEBOOKORITSCASE. Should the device be damaged due to accidental damage or regular wear and tear, the student will be issued another device from stock. This replacement device may be new or reconditioned. Continual accidental damage or wear and tear by a student will result in that student be charged for the subsequent repairs. Should the device be damaged due to willful abuse or misuse the student/parent shall be charged for the repair or replacement of that device.
If you have any questions regarding these procedures, please reach out to Catherine Dwyer, Instructional Technology Specialist at LIS/LMS, at dwyerca@lovelandschools.org.
