Principal's Corner
Good Afternoon LS-H Middle/High School Families,
We have had an outstanding start to the 2021-2022 school at Le Sueur-Henderson Middle/High School. We have focused on building the relationships and routines necessary for all of our students to be successful during the first two weeks of school. During our grade level meetings, Mr. Christ and I have reinforced the importance of choosing to persevere when our students are faced with difficult content or mistakes they have made. Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting each one of our students to achieve more than they believe is possible each and every day.
Please monitor your family's health on a daily basis, get tested for COVID-19 when needed, and wear masks as needed to support the health of our school as a whole. Our guidance counselors are available for student support services, classroom teachers are available for course specific questions, and our office staff can answer general questions or help connect you with the appropriate staff member at LS-H Middle/High School. We love to hear from you, so don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Go Giants!

LSH Giants App
Along with our new website, Le Sueur-Henderson Schools has developed a new app to improve communication and ensure school information is easily accessible. We encourage you to download the app on your mobile device to receive school updates and weather related communications throughout the school year. The LSH app can be found by searching for "Le Sueur-Henderson Schools, MN" in the App Store or Google Play.
LSH Middle/High School Student Handbook
Our 2021-2022 Student Handbook contains a wealth of information regarding the guidelines and procedures used at LSH Middle/HIgh School. I encourage each family to review the handbook in detail at the beginning of each school year. We have provided an overview of the handbook to our students during grade level meetings yesterday and today. Please contact Brian Thorstad (bthorstad@isd2397.org) or Jeff Christ (jchrist@isd2397.org) if you have any questions about our student handbook.

Advisory @ LSH MS/HS
All students will be emailing their current grades to their parent/guardians(s) and advisor on a biweekly basis to maintain open communication about their academic progress this year. Please feel free to contact your child's advisor should you have any questions.
Relearning Opportunities
Please encourage your child to discuss a relearning plan with their teacher if they do not understand a concept. We believe all students are capable of mastering content area standards and encourage them to persevere when a concept is not understood on their first attempt.
2020-2021 LSH High School Yearbooks
Student Parking
Parking permits were established at LS-H High School in 2019, but were not used during the 2020-2021 school year due to multiple learning scenarios. This year, all students who wish to park at LS-H High School will need to obtain a parking permit from the office. Student parking will not be assigned and will be on a first come, first choice basis each day. Students will need to complete a parking permit registration form (located on the LSH Middle/High School website) and submit payment online or to the Le Sueur-Henderson High School Office. The cost for a parking pass will be as follows:
Permits purchased between August 2021 - Nov. 5, 2021 - $70.00
Permits purchased between Nov. 8, 2021 - Jan. 28, 2022 - $52.50
Permits purchased between Jan. 31 - April 1, 2022 - $35.00
Permits purchased between April 4 - June 3, 2022 - $17.50
Upon receipt of payment and registration, each student will receive a parking permit allowing them to park in the North or West parking lots at LS-H High School. Students are not allowed to park in the school bus lot and faculty lot off of Ferry Street from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Parking lots will be randomly checked for vehicles that do not have permits as well as cars parked in nonstudent locations. Vehicles parked on school grounds without the proper permit or parked in non-student locations will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Student Absences
Please remember to contact the MS/HS Office if your child has an appointment, is ill, or will be absent for another reason. We understand that it is convenient for parents and students to text message one another to communicate about a wide range of issues. For the safety of all students, we thank you in advance for notifying the office regarding all school absences.
