Principal's Corner
Every year Catholic schools are required to administer a short test called ACRES in 5th and 8th grade. The test is broken into 6 domains (Knowledge of Faith, Liturgical Life, Moral Formation, Prayer, Communal Life, Missionary Spirit) and it evaluates religious education program effectiveness. The results are then compared to all Catholic school in the U.S. We just received our results and SLS scored above the national average in 10 of 12 categories! Congratulations to all.
Kindness Chain Update
Our students made their 3rd quarter goal of getting the chain all the way down the second floor hallway to the 4th grade rooms. For making this goal, they will have a bouncy house and obstacle course on field day.
Our 4th quarter goal is to take the chain down the stairs, around the front entrance, and back to where the chain started. When this started in August, I didn't think there was any chance of growing it long enough to go around the entire school and connect back to the beginning. I am very proud of our SLS students!

My last book fair is scheduled for the end of April and I would like to get the Ballots out before that, as we need to have our vote in before May 1st. Please remind students that they need to record the dates and not just check them off.

Please continue sending Cardinal Crawl registrations to the office. Thank you.
The Cardinal Crawl is a 5K run-walk-crawl fundraiser that helps support SLS Athletics. The money raised helps the school maintain the Activity Center floor, helps buy uniforms and equipment, pays referees, provides transportation for the 7th and 8th grade away games and much more.
