Stigma Stroll

The first annual stigma stroll was held May 16th-19th. The locations that participated in the stigma stroll were NAMI, Educational Service Center, Unison, Ohio Guide Stone, Children's Resource Center and Harbor. These organizations provided a table with resource information and encouraged individuals to get their passports stamped. Passports were entered into a raffle drawing that included many self-care items. A few of our winners are pictured below, thanks to all who participated!

High School Post-Prom

The Suicide Prevention Coalition teen subcommittee held the first annual post-prom mental health video competition. Local Wood County Highs schools sent in video's highlighting mental health and suicide prevention and the top three video's were awarded funding for post-prom activities. The suicide prevention coalition partnered with BCSN and BCAN to promote these video's. The committee received many fantastic entries that were highlighted on social media. First place was Otsego High School who was awarded $1,000, second place was Eastwood High School who was awarded $500, and third place was Northwood High School who was awarded $250.

Youth Resiliency Jubilee

The youth Resiliency Jubilee was held June 4th at the Wood County Fair Grounds to highlight mental health awareness and suicide prevention in young kids and families. The event had a special sensory hour from 1pm-2pm and the full event was held from 2pm-5pm. This free event included a range of fun family activities from a petting zoo to a bouncy obstacle course. Many of our local providers also participated by hosting a booth with a mental health related game. Many thanks to all the volunteers, individuals and families that made this day a success!
