Your so sweet, and love to bake so I want to give you mydad’s awesome “Apple Pie” recipe!!!!!!!


1 cup + 3 tbsp shortening

3 cups all purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons of salt

4 tablespoons of cold water

Combine flour-salt mixture with shortening using a pastry blender until it breaks in to approximately pea sized pieces, gently sprinkle in water and mix with a fork, then roll

Pie Filling

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup all purpose flour

1 teaspoon ground cinammon

1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg

dash of salt

-combine and sprinkle over

8 cups thinly peeled tart apples (I prefer MacIntosh)

then do the top with

2 Tablespoons butter ( and add top from remaining crust)

seal crust and vent with a fork - then sprinkle with sugar
