A Week in Review
Writing: We finished editing and reflecting on our practice argumentative essay.
Math: We've been working with ratios and their relationship with percents. Students were also introduced to finding the percent of a quantity.
Science: We had our final in-class work day for our solar system projects this Wednesday. (See some pictures below)
Social Studies: We continued preparing for our history presentations for our ancient civilizations.
Genius Hour: This week we continued working on our Genius Hour projects for fourth quarter! (See some pictures below)
Chorus Concert: 5th and 6th graders put on an incredible show for their Spring Chorus Concert. (See some pictures below)

Writing: We will be starting research for the argumentative writing test.
Math: We are taking our post-test for the Ratio's Unit Friday, May 6th!
Science: We will be presenting our solar system projects Wednesday, May 4th! Students must have their projects completed by this day.
Housekeeping
No School tomorrow, Friday, April 29th for teacher in-service.
If you have any used books that you would like to donate to the Student Council for our Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser, please bring them in by Tuesday, May 3rd! Then stop by the Library Wednesday night (open house) for our sale!
Open house/Ice Cream Social is Wednesday, May 4th from 6-7:30!
On Thursday, May 5th, the Woodridge School District 68 Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC) will be hosting their first ever Multi-Cultural Event. Anchored around 5 de mayo, this event will showcase primary students reciting songs they have learned in class. A special presentation of a traditional Mexican Folkloric dance will be presented by an invited guest. Students of other cultures will also have work on display highlighting their culture and traditions.
Zoo Permission Slip is due Monday, May 9th!
DARE Lock-in permission slip and $15 is due Friday, May 13th!
