IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY ON THE REMIND SYSTEM, YOU DO NOT NEED TO SIGN UP AGAIN. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE THE CHANGES WITHIN THE REMIND SYSTEM.
Daily Announcements
Any 8th grade girl interested in being on the HGHS Flag Line, there will be an interest meeting for the Hazel Green HS Flag line in the Eagle's Nest next Tuesday, February 18. You do not have to be in the band or know how to play and instrument to be on the Flag Line. Students will be called down by intercom.
Student who received an invitation to National Junior Honor Society. Please turn in your questionnaire and dues to Mrs Walters by February 18th. Our induction ceremony will be held on February 24th at 6:00 PM at Flint River Baptist Church. Mrs Walters will have a meeting in her classroom regarding details about the induction ceremony at 8:00 AM on Thursday February 13th. Please make plans to attend.
The Meridianville Middle School track & field team will be having a parent meeting on Tuesday, February 11th at 5:30PM. At least 1 parent per student-athlete must attend.
For any 7th graders interested in trying out for the Football/Competition cheer team, there is a parent meeting February 11th at 6pm in Mrs. McCormick's room.
Report cards - March 12, 2020
Football workouts will continue at HGHS on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school until 5:00 P.M.

Lost and found is located in the Main Office. All items not collected by Friday afternoon will be donated immediately.
Students must have a bus note with a contact phone number in order to ride a different bus. All notes must be turned in to the office first thing in the mornings.
No check outs after 3:00 P.M. Students must be present 3 1/2 hours to be counted present for the day.
If you plan on getting a physical, please make sure you get a physical packet from the school.

2-1-1 System
An amazing resource is available every hour of every day to families and individuals in need of essential human services – 2-1-1. The 2-1-1 system is for human services needs what 9-1-1 is for emergency needs. In North Alabama, 2-1-1 is provided through Crisis Services of North Alabama in partnership with United Way. Last year, the 2-1-1 Call Center in Huntsville answered more than 37,000 calls from across the state with more than 20,000 of those calls being from North Alabama alone. The majority of callers requested help with basic needs—such as utilities, rent, food, and housing. During times of disaster, 2-1-1 has been critical in assisting both disaster victims and disaster relief providers to make connections. 2-1-1 can be accessed through a statewide website (www.211connectsalabama.org) as well as through our local call center. Your Superintendent Council representative has a flyer and magnets promoting this program. This will be a great resource for our community.
