January 2016
Hope you and your family had a great holiday season!
Recess: With the cold weather, please make sure that your child dresses appropriately. If it at least 40 degrees by our recess time (12:30), we take students outside to move and socialize! If your student is not dressed appropriately for the weather, we may have to send them into study hall.

Math
In math, students are solving 2 digit by 2 digit and 2 digit by 3 digit problems. They are also exploring factors, multiples, and fractions, The next Module will be on area and perimeter.
Language Arts
We are working to revise and edit papers by finding errors and making choices on ways to write the sentences correctly. We are also studying the elements of poetry.
Science and Social Studies
In science students are learning about natural resources and determining if they are renewable or nonrenewable.
In social studies, we are learning about the European explorers and their influences on Texas.
