Team 7 Red
1st Week of School
The teachers on Team 7 Red promote an environment where every student can achieve success. Along with building meaningful relationships with students, we believe in teaching the skills necessary to learn how to persevere and make informed, logical decisions. We work as a team and model good citizenship to support our students.

Math
Module 1: A Story Of Ratios
I am excited to have new math materials this year! We will be using Eureka Math, which is a continuation of the materials students used last year, if they were at FRMS. This is the first year to use this program at the 7th grade level, so I’m sure we will be making adjustments as we progress.
The students will be downloading a file of their math materials to their computer desktop on Friday, August 24. The students will have a blank copy of the notes we take in class and a copy of the practice problems (homework). Students should bring their math binder home each evening, so they can use their notes as they complete the practice (homework) problems. If they do not finish the in-class notes, they should complete them at home. The homework practice problems should be saved on their desktop; they should work out these problems on notebook paper and this paper should be kept in their math binder.
Lesson plans:
Thursday, August 16: Lesson 1; HW: Lesson 1 problems
Friday, August 17: Lesson 2; HW: Lesson 2 problems
Monday, August 20: Lesson 3; HW: Lesson 3 problems
Tuesday, August 21: Lesson 4; HW: Lesson 4 problems
Wednesday, August 22: i-Ready; HW: finish any unfinished HW problems from earlier
Thursday, August 23: i-Ready; HW: finish any unfinished HW problems from earlier
Friday, August 24: i-Ready (?) or possibly Lesson 5
Quiz on Tuesday, Aug. 28 (will be open note/open homework)
Math Reminders:
-It is important for students to practice their newly learned math skills by completing the homework assignments. When they spend time thinking about these concepts, it boosts their learning! Effort impacts growth/learning!
-If you do not complete the homework the day it is assigned, please catch up later in the week, so you will have what you need to complete the Skill Checks.
-Morning Math Sessions are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Students will be getting an orange pass that will allow them to come up at 7:25.
