Beauty and Rough Edges

Pictured above is one of my planters-there are beautiful flowers blooming even though my container is a little rough around the edges. When I watered my flowers last night, I thought of school. There are so many great things happening in our classrooms, but the start of the school year has been stressful and demanding for the staff. We are working through quite a process of not having all of the items that were ordered, trying to confirm what has and has not been ordered, and trying to learn EVERY subject of new curriculum.

The patience of the students and staff as we work through this process is absolutely amazing! I commend both groups for handling things with grace and patience and for having such great attitudes. The effects of the fire continue even though we are back in the building--thank you for your continued support as we all work through this process. We truly appreciate it!

Breakfast and Lunch

Please remember that breakfast is served from 8:00-8:15 each day.

I would like to thank the families that have donated fresh produce, including sweet corn, and locally raised beef. These additions to the menu are delicious, and all of us are enjoying the meals very much.

Thank you so much for your generosity!!

Student Illness and Covid Protocol

Thank you for communicating with us when your child is ill. We have updated Covid protocol--

1. A student/staff member needs to stay home from school if that person has Covid for 5 days from symptom onset. A person can only come back after that five days if he/she is symptom free. If you have questions, please call an administrator at the school.

2. We are not tracking close contacts.

Painting Faces

Junior Class Prom Fundraiser

The junior class will be offering face painting to students. They will be doing this on Homecoming Rustler Day (Friday, September 23rd) in the armory from 7:45 to 8:30 AM.

The cost is $2 per student for a design.

Eye black only will be $1 per student.

(They will be in Rustler colors, please try and make it easy by sending your child with the correct amount of $)

Important Student Pick Up Information

We are have provided the document above as a guide for pick up time to continue to keep our students, staff, and parents as safe as possible. If you are picking up your child, please utilize the pick up/drop off area in the diagram or park diagonally to the east. Everyone is doing a great job of using the cross walks, and we will be painting another one in the future that is on the diagram at the west end of the church lot.

Thank you for your help!

Thank you!

Thank you for a great start! I am really enjoying getting to know your children! I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
