This library newsletter brings you news about new digital resources in the library collection, new content and enhancements to existing services. You can investigate these resources further to determine how they can support your programs and units of work and, just be aware of their availability in general so that you can guide students to access relevant resources for their learning, research and study.

Gale Virtual Reference Library (eBook subscription)
Students and teachers now have unlimited simultaneous users to the complete Gale eBooks Reference Library. The platform is mobile responsive so it can be used on iPads. Click on this link to access the ebooks. The password is cerdon.

The password for access to these databases is cerdon. The databases allow for unlimited simultaneous access.
Please let me know if you would like me to show you or your students how to navigate these databases and highlight some of the features to help students identify suitable resources (e.g reading levels, types of resources and search features). Please encourage students to use these resources for research and assessments (as well as the EBSCOHost databases and Britannica Online) to find quality, credible and current information resources. Students will be able to access the links to these resources through the library's google website.

IMPROVE
Improve is an interactive assessment tool developed by Education Services Australia that enables teachers to create and conduct personalised student tests in English, Maths and Science from a bank of over 3500 validated and moderated assessment items sourced from national and international test programs in which Australian students participate. Improve is freely available to all teachers and students in Australia. Teachers in Parramatta Diocese can login through Scootle and then click on CENet.

Interactive videos are available now as part of our school’s ClickView subscription.
ClickView's latest release of interactive videos is available now, and provides teachers with a way to engage students in higher order thinking.
ClickView Learning Advisor, Sasha Novacek, explains how interactive videos enable teachers to create active learning experiences by adding built-in questions or problems. This encourages students to engage deeply with the video, consider what they are viewing, check they have understood, and reflect on key learnings.
