Week of 4/9
Principal's Message
This week begins our Ohio State Testing here at Noble! Our third, fourth, and fifth grade scholars will be taking their Ohio State Tests on Wednesday, April 12th and Thursday, April 13th in the morning. Please be sure that your child is at school ON TIME on both of our testing days. We have introduced a testing incentive plan for our scholars and they can earn special tickets by being to school on time on their testing days. Please help them earn these tickets by ensuring they are at school on time for all Ohio State Testing dates!
**K-5 Students that are disruptive during our testing dates will be removed for the day if they are disruptive. Our focus during these days is providing a calm testing environment to all students so they can do their best work. Thank you for your support during this time!
Also, we have a district document to share with all families concerning communication with families of students with disabilities. Click on this link to review the document: CH-UH City School District Plan for Communications with Persons with Disabilities.

NOBLE LIBRARY NEWS
The Noble branch will be closed temporarily during the expansion/renovation, beginning Sunday, April 16.
The renovation is expected to last roughly a year, and a groundbreaking is tentatively scheduled for May 2023.
Limited services will still be provided in the neighborhood during the closure at two satellite locations:
- a small space at the BNH Building at 2940 Noble Road will contain public computers, holds shelves, circulation and reference services, and a small collection of items to check out;
- children's and teen after school programs will be offered at Disciples Christian Churh, 3663 Mayfield Rd in Cleveland Heights on a regular basis, beginning in April. Programs are listed at heightslibrary.org and in the Check Us Out program guide.
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AND GROWTH
Ohio State Testing
We ask our families to support in the following ways:
- Ensure that your child is at school on time on their testing dates.
- Provide your child with a healthy, nutritious breakfast on their testing dates.
- Ensure your child gets a good night's sleep prior to their testing dates.
- Encourage them to do their best and be their "at-home" cheerleader. We will be their "at-school" cheerleaders throughout testing season :)
Our theme for the school year is TO PROFICIENCY AND BEYOND!! We know that our scholars are capable of amazing things and we look forward to them showing all they know!

Student Attendance
This past week, our FIRST GRADE CLASSES and SECOND GRADE CLASSES led the attendance charge with a 96% attendance rate!! WAY TO GO, First and Second Grades :)
Our schoolwide attendance rate for March was 92.7%. While this is still above our goal of 92%, please put every effort forth to make sure that if your child is well enough to be at school, they are at school. Thank you for all of our families who are working hard to help make sure our scholars are here at school!

PBIS Parent Survey
Since we want to encourage participating in this survey, when you complete it, you can send me a quick email with a message stating that you have taken the PBIS Parent/Family Survey along with your child's name and I will award your child 5 ClassDojo points for Parent Engagement.
Noble PRIDE Roll-Out - April Focus: Determined
In November, we practiced the behavior of being PROACTIVE and our scholars did a great job practicing being in control of their attitude and planning for success. In December and January, we focused on being REFLECTIVE and practiced thinking about how they can reflect on their learning and behavior at school. February's focus was on being INQUISITIVE and looking forward to learning new things at school. We will continue to roll out PRIDE behaviors throughout the remainder of the year.
Be sure that you are connected to your child's ClassDojo account. You can keep informed about school events, monitor the points they receive for positive behavior, and message with their teachers.
IMPORTANT INFO
Important Car Safety Reminder
Also, we have seen a car parking on the blacktop during dismissal on several occasions since we're returned in 2023. Please know that NO VEHICLES should be pulling onto the blacktop to ensure that safety of students and adults during our dismissal time.
Thank you for your attention to this!
