Born on May 5 1903 in Portland Oregon he is the only child . Father john & mother Mary Elizabeth .went to reed college. he moved to Europe then to new York city to study & pursue his acting career, eventually evolved into a catering company as his bread-and-butter job, but it wouldn't be long before he realized that food was his true calling.
