Petaluma Sweeps Casa in Boys Basketball

The Trojan basketball program had a great night last week in their visit to Casa. The freshman team started things off with an impressive win at the Iacopi Gym, only to be followed by the JV squad's close contest, a 54-48 win. This all led to the main event as the varsity boys built an early lead and rode that to an eventual 12 point victory margin 61-49. Particularly impressive was the play of the Trojan big men, Devin Gottschall and Jack Anderson who each scored 24 points. See the article below. It was a great night out and the Trojan and Gaucho fans cheered their teams on in a friendly and spirited manner.

The Trojans then went on the road and chalked up another impressive win over Vintage High 59-44. The Trojans are looking good as they prepare for league play in January

Holiday Cheer Gift Card Drive!

Thank you to all the PHS parents and community members who donated to the Holiday Cheer Drive. Please see below for a message from Brenda Martin and Corrie Williams, PHS parents who led the drive:

"I am proud to say that just with what was dropped off to the school we have almost $2,250 worth of gift cards to bless these 50 students this holiday season. I have all the notes of encouragement written and in an unsealed envelope so the card can be signed by whomever and then gift cards placed inside of them. Corrie Williams and I have enjoyed taking on this little project, of course it could not have been possible without all the support from Petaluma High, Petaluma and from even afar. Thank you for being open to this idea."

Merry Christmas!
