Overcoming Obstacles: Walt Disney

Childhood:
Walt Disney was born on Decemeber 5th, 1901. His birthplace was Chicago, Illinois. His father was named Elias Disney, he was Irish-Candanian. His mother was named Flora Call Disney and she was German-American. Walt Disney had four siblings and they were named, Roy O. Disney, Herbert Arthur Disney, Raymond Arnold Disney, and Ruth Flora Disney. At a young age, two of his brothers left home because they were sick of the hard work his father made them do. They even had financial struggles. The Disney's moved to Missouri and Walt Disney started pertaining his passion for drawing and animation.
Career:
At a young age, he worked at a train station and sold snacks to visitors. At the age of 16, he dropped out of school and joined Red Cross, he went to France for a year to drive an ambulance. When he came back from France, he moved to Kansas City to pursue his career in cartoon. Disney made many obscure cartoons. But, when Disney made Micky mouse, he wasn't popular at first. When sound came into the cartoons he made, "Stream Boat Willie", the cartoon became popular. On December 21, 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Disney's first full-length animated film, premiered in Los Angeles. On July 17th, 1955, Disney Land Opens in California. It was a success! Between 1931 and 1968, he won thirty-two Academy Awards. In fact, he still holds the record for the most awards. He also won twenty-two Oscars too.
Death:
In 1966, Walt Disney was diagnosed with lung cancer. Within a year, Walt Disney died on December 15th, 1966. He died at the age of 65. A famous rumor about his death is that he was cyrogenically frozen in the state of death. But it is proven false. Obviously, Disney incorporation still makes movies. Disney's last overseen movie was The Jungle Book. Currently his grand children are taking his inherent of 400 million dollars. After his death, his brother Roy, finished the plan to make, Walt Disney World.
Man vs. Society & Theme
Disney had various struggles to find a job. Some people thought that his work would never become big. Some people thought that his work was bad. He moved many times and didn't receive a full education. But, Disney did not stop trying to become what he wanted to and eventually became successful after long, hard work. Disney made many sacrifices to become where he is today. In fact, his net worth is 5 billion dollars. His overall theme is that you should not give up even if other people don't believe in you.
