I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
Homecoming weekend is coming at you fast and furiously. This is an awesome week to celebrate the high school experience and to enjoy our students and our school. I look forward to seeing all of the interesting outfits that students and staff will wear and to spending some time at the many great events that will take place throughout the week.
I hope to see you around! Have a wonderful week! Go, Knights!

NEW STAFF MEMBER:
I want to say thank you! Thank you for the time you have put in to help our students. Thank you for supporting, guiding and working with students on a daily basis preparing them for their futures. I know that the work we do here is hard and our plates our full, but great things are happening and will continue to happen at North because of your work!
The end of 1st quarter is just around the corner. More information will come from Sandy Kuhl on submitting grades, but the window for submitting grades will close on October 18th. Please make sure you are communicating with parents if you have students who are not doing well in your class.
A big thanks to the Attendance Committee and to the Activities Office for their efforts in making our 2nd Fun Friday a success. The students at FHN seemed to really enjoy it.
Knights @ 90: FHN currently has 90.12% of students attending 90% of the time.
As we draw close to the end of 1st Quarter, please remind students of our “No More Than 4” theme for the year. If they are close, remind them we have 2 weeks to go. If they already missed it for 1st Qtr, encourage them to do better during 2nd Qtr. Thanks to all you for your efforts in improving our attendance.
Climate Committee will be meeting on Tuesday, September 27th at 2:30 PM. We are meeting in the main office conference room and all are invited. Our goal is to have preliminary climate data at that time. At this meeting, we will look at the data and decide how to share it with staff.
Behavior Leadership Team
Discussion: The Behavior Leadership Team met this past week. Marissa Cohen and Stephanie Johnson are going to be leading out a book study 2nd quarter on Better than Carrots or Sticks. This short text covers how to use some restorative practices in the classroom. Copies of the book will be provided and the study will meet three times during 2nd quarter. Dates and more information will be coming soon.
Did you attend an awesome session at the 21C Fest? Were there more topics you wanted to learn about? The Tech committee would like your help in developing topics for upcoming Lunch and Learns. Please click on the link below to share what topics you experienced at 21C fest and any topic that you want to hear more about.
