Super Stars Are Always Kind!
Today's suggested action of kindness is to, "Do something helpful for a friend or family member"! We hope our focus on kindness spreads a sense of joy and community during the holiday season!
It's good to be a Super Star!
Please Take a Moment to Help our School Community Grow!
Thank you to those of you who have taken the time to complete our 5Essentials Survey! We have reached 10% participation and need at least 20% for our school's data to be considered sufficient.
The 5Essentials were developed by the University of Chicago Urban Education Institute, in partnership with Chicago Public Schools. Past research has shown that schools strong on at least three of the five essentials are 10 times more likely to improve student learning than schools weak on three or more of the five essentials.
At Steeple Run partnership with our families is an important part of any successful school initiative. Each year we use the data found in the 5 Essential Survey data seen below to focus our school improvement planning on issues that matter most to our Super Star families.
Please click the link below to take this year's survey and thank you for your participation!

A Commitment to Kindnesss
If you are sitting on the bench …
You are looking for a friend. When someone asks you to play, join them, and always remember to glance over at the school's Buddy Bench to invite new friends to join in on the fun.
If you are not sitting on the bench …
Ask your classmate that is sitting on the buddy bench to play, and make a new friend today! Keep growing your circle of friends until everyone has someone to play with. Steeple Run School believes that we should always include others and reach out to make new friends from many different circles! Be courageous and invite someone new to play with you.
Our mission of kindness is modeled through messages of kindness and inclusion by our Circut Kindness Club (as seen below - Bee Kind!) and through clubs like Quechua & Chocolate, Cuentos and Canciones, and Los Superlocos which model the inclusion of different languages and perspectives. Kindness and care have long been a part of the Steeple Run culture and we hope these new initiatives will help carry our school community forward. Thank you for your continued partnership in making Steeple Run a great place to learn and grow, we encourage you to utilize the video above to discuss with your child how they can help live out our mission of kindness at Steeple Run.
