Planets
Emily Massey
Mercury
Mercury is the smallest planet in our solar system. A year on Mercury is just 88 days long. One day on Mercury equals 58 Earth days. The surface of Mercury is very similar to our moon. It has a very barren, rocky surface covered with many craters.
Venus and Earth
Venus is the second planet away from the sun. A day on Venus lasts longer than a year. The Earth and Venus are very similar in size. Venus also features gravity similar to Earth. Earth is the only planet where the process of the tectonic plates occur.
planets are awesome!
Mars
Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn
Mars is home to the largest mountain in the solar system. Mars has the largest dust storms in the solar system, too. Now about Jupiter, Jupiter orbits the sun once every 11.8 Earth years. I think it is cool that Jupiter's great red spot is actually a tornado that has been spinning for quite a long time. Saturn is my second favorite planet. Saturn has some cool features, like it is the flattest planet, and it has 62 moons.
Uranus and Neptune
It was kind of hard to research Uranus and Neptune, but there is a few facts that I know, like Uranus is the coldest planet in the solar system even though it is not the farthest planet away from the sun, and Neptune has 14 moons.
