A Principal's Perspective
An anonymous person gave me a book, Together is Better - A Little Book of Inspiration, at the beginning of the year. I have read it twice now! Thank you for sharing! Through a story, the author emphasizes that together is better with thoughts about teams, leadership, vision and passion. I would like to share two quotes from the book with you that I have been thinking about.
"Working hard for something we don't care about is called stress. Working hard for something we love is called passion."
"The opportunity is not to discover the perfect company for ourselves. The opportunity is to build the perfect company for each other."
What is your passion? I often and proudly describe our staff as passionate educators all about kids. As I think about GP, it is the people, the staff - passionate, caring, excited about teaching and learning, working as a team, selfless, dedicated and has fun too along the way- that helps to create a place that the author describes as "something bigger, longer lasting, and more noble." It does indeed take all of us to build a perfect place for our students and each other at Greens Prairie. A place called school, our school.
