3rd Grade Week 04.27.15
What's been happening...
Reading: We will be continuing with mClass assessments this coming week. It is really important that you discuss with your child the importance of putting 100% effort into the questions they will be asked about the text they read. They MUST use BAT to answer the questions and it is VITAL they find supporting details for their answer. All of our reading time this week will be assessments. We will also be preparing the children for the EOG test by increasing their reading stamina.
Writing: The children have now completed their board builder and have submitted it for grading. We will not be doing any writing lessons now until after the EOG's. After the tests we will be working on a project until the end of the year.
Math: We have been doing lots of math morning work in preparation for the tests. This covers the skills we have previously taught. We will be continuing with fractions and taking the end of unit test this coming week. Your child will bring home a study guide and their math notebook tomorrow so they can revise. Again, the study guide is almost identical to the test. Please encourage your child and ask if your child is not sure of anything.
