Join us for a night under the lights celebrating the life of Dr. Ken Gunn

It is with great sadness to share that former Walnut High School Principal, Dr. Ken Gunn, passed away on May 14 with his family by his side. Dr. Gunn helped opened the school as a teacher and coach, eventually becoming an Assistant Principal for WHS, and took the helm as our Principal from 1985-2005. He devoted 37 years to this school with the belief that kids come first, making sure the staff always looks out for each other while building the “The Walnut Way” culture that is still evident today.

It's impossible to put into words how influential Dr. Gunn has been to so many people. Dr. Gunn’s legacy and impact on staff, students, and the community is immeasurable.

Working closely with his family, we will be celebrating his life under the lights in Ken Gunn stadium on June 18.
