Bo Dechphant: Bangkok Vacation
Hey there it’s me Bo Dechphant. Although I have lots of hobbies traveling will be my first love, I just love the feel of visiting new places and getting to know about their history as well as appreciating their beauty, another reason I like to travel is that I appreciate and have zeal to know about different cultures in different part of the world. One such place is Bangkok, capital and the biggest city of Thailand and I got too vacation there few months back.
There are many places to visit when you are in Bangkok, a reason why it’s such a popular tourist destination. One of the most popular tourist destinations in Bangkok is the Jim Thompson House now a museum; it’s a complex of various old Thai structures that Jim Thompson collected from all parts of Thailand. Among Bangkok's well-known sights is the Grand Palace and located within the ground of it is a major Buddhist temples know as Wat Phra Kaew also Temple of the Emerald Buddha is regarded as the most sacred Buddhist temple (wat) in Thailand. Another temple is Wat Arun (or the Temple of Dawn) sits on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is one of the most stunning temples in Bangkok, with a unique design made up of colorfully decorated ceramics, which were said to have been donated by local people. The Giant Swing and Erawan Shrine demonstrate Hinduism's deep-rooted influence in Thai culture. Then there is Wat Pho, Wat Arun is almost directly opposite Wat Pho, so combine your visit to maximize your time. Simply take a water taxi between the two.
Other places that are must see are: Siam Square which is a shopping hub right in the heart of the city, Chatuchak Weekend Market which is a weekend market, Bangkok’s Chinatown where you will get all kind of things. Then there are Cruises and boat trips on the Chao Phraya and Thonburi's canals. There are many more amazing places which you will see will visiting Bangkok and you should definitely vacation here as it’s a great city full of culture and great food. Though remember to wear appropriate clothes will visiting Temples and that you should visit them early in the morning.
