Rountree Report
March 25, 2018
4th quarter is a jam packed time! Remember the importance of relationships first with students. As routines are impacted and the anticipation of summer approaches it is essential that we stay focused on meeting student needs and keeping learning engagement high. It is also important that you prioritize your own needs and focus on balance.
Dr. Jungmann's visit
Dr. Jungmann asked me to share how much he enjoyed his visit to Rountree. His comment was, "I always enjoy coming here. Students are always engaged." Way to go team!
Talent show assembly
The talent show assembly will be next Tuesday, April 3rd at 9. In order to maximize our time we will be combining that assembly with the end of the month assembly for March.
BALLPARK MEAL NUMBERS
Friendly reminder to send me and/or Erin the numbers of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders eating at the ballpark for the Cardinals field trip ASAP. The cost of the lunch is $2.45.
Math IC/Canvas discussion
Math IC
We will pick up 2 more components to review for the next few weeks. The Canvas discussion board is a required component of our focus on the Math IC this year. Postings must be completed by Friday, April 6. This is a hard deadline. I would also appreciate you commenting on at least one of your colleagues posts. There are several great ideas and resources already on there so take a look! Specialty teachers--please go to the discussion and see the question(s) specific to you. Canvas discussion
***Please let me know if you and your grade level partner would like to take a half day to observe math workshop. 1st grade took advantage of this opportunity this week and they really enjoyed their visit.
***Please take the time to review the 2 components below and comment in the discussion.

MAP Resources
Students need to be spending time in using the MAP tools!
As a reminder, there are many MAP resources to help students prepare for the state assessment. These resources will allow teachers to practice using the online tools and view sample released items. The resources can be found in Canvas>CIA>Assessments>K-5>MAP Resources.
