IMPORTANT DISTRICT NEWS
Rosh Hashanah: 2015-16 Academic Calendar Amendments: As part of their September 1 Special Board Meeting, the Board of School Directors amended the 2015-2016 academic calendar to include observance of the second day of Rosh Hashanah. As such,District school and offices will be CLOSED on September 15 this year. Furthermore, April 26 is re-designated from a teacher/staff development day to a student day, and June 28 is re-designated as a teacher/staff professional development day, non-student day.
Cedarbrook Middle School Principal Appointment Update: The School District is pleased to announce that Ms. Marcy Hockfield will begin her tenure as Cedarbrook Middle School Principal on September 16, 2015. Ms. Francine Deal will serve as Interim Principal from September 8 through September 18. Detailed information regarding a Meet the New Cedarbrook Principal opportunity is forthcoming.

SCOOP FROM THE SUP STUDENT EVENT
This student centered event will feature a sweet summer treat, water ice! All Cheltenham School District students are invited to visit the Cheltenham High School cafeteria on Thursday, September 10 at the times listed below to receive a cool scoop of water ice and warm hello from Dr. Marseille.
K-6 Scoop with the Sup: 6-6:45 pm
7-12 Scoop with the Sup 7-8 pm
DR. MARSEILLE COMMUNITY WALK & TALKS
These fall walk/talk events are opportunities to exercise your body and mind while discussing Cheltenham School District dreams and goals with Dr. Wagner Marseille. Various dates and times have been selected to meet a diverse sampling of schedules. Exact Walk & Talk locations will be communicated in early September.
Walk & Talk #1: Tuesday, September 29 (2-3 pm)
Walk & Talk #2: Thursday, October 8 (6-7 pm)
Walk & Talk #3: Saturday, October 17 (10-11 am)
Walk & Talk #4: Sunday, October 25 (1-2 pm)
All Walk & Talk events are weather permitting. Rain dates will be utilized when necessary.
