RMS Weekly Event Calendar
August 15 - 19
What's going on this week?
Welcome back! As you can see from Mrs. Smith's smile, I know we are all happy to be back! It was a great two days of school last week! Everything went very smoothly and I can't thank you enough for all of your help. I appreciate all the hard work that you put into getting your rooms ready and all the preparation you made for students returning back to the classroom. I am looking forward to an amazing year with our students!
Just a quick reminder to read over your Faculty Handbook so that you are familiar with all the policy and procedures...especially any new changes that have been made. Let us know if you have any questions. I will also be sending you an electronic copy of our Student Handbook so that you can be familiar with it as well.
I encourage you to take some time to get to know your students. It is so important for students to make connections with their teachers and know that you care about them. Mrs. Lockett has sent out information/lessons that you can use during your mentoring timeframe and she will also be including other mini lessons that you can use with your students that will help develop a connection. Please use your mentoring time to work with students on building character, personal skills, and academic success skills. We can all work together to help grow our students into outstanding young men and women.
We kick off our RMS football season this week with 7th and 8th grade games at Hartselle. I hope all of you will be able to attend some of our athletic and school events throughout the year. It means so much to our students to see our teachers in the stands rooting for them!
I hope all of you have a great week! Let us know if you need anything.
