Limelight Theatre Presents: Kill Me, Deadly

The Francis Howell High School’s Award Winning Limelight Theatre proudly presents their Fall Production of the 2009 play Kill Me, Deadly, by Bill Robens. Performances will take place Wednesday, November 8, Friday, November 10 and Saturday, November 11, 2017 beginning at 7 pm nightly in the Auditorium of Francis Howell High School, 7001 Highway 94 South, St. Charles, MO 63304.

Set in 1947 Hollywood, Charlie Nickels has a hard life as a gumshoe in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles, and things are only made harder by the murder of a client and the theft of her 300-karat diamond. With the help of his wise-cracking secretary, Ida, Charlie seeks out the many suspects: swarmy bookworm Clive, equestrian beauty Veronica, snooty butler Wilson, sensitive muscle Louis, and mob boss Bugsy Siegel. At the center of the case is femme fatale Mona, a nightclub singer who captures Charlie’s affections… and suspicions. Packed with romance, intrigue, and murder, this detective noir is a smart parody that will keep you guessing until the end. Playscripts, Inc.

Performances of Kill Me, Deadly take place at 7 pm each night, November 8, November 10 and November 11. Doors open at 6:30 pm.

Tickets are $5 per person for all shows and are available at the door.

Fall Student-Participants Have Success In & Out Of Activity & Sport

This fall 589 students participated in an activity or sport at Francis Howell High School. These student-participants had not only success in their activity or sport but also in the classroom and in our community during the first quarter.

These 589 Vikings had a 97.1% attendance rate during the first quarter. Coaches and sponsors at Howell get daily attendance reports on their programs and also get monthly attendance data so they can have conversations with the students in their program and continue to support them. During the first quarter, 23 of 23 programs had an attendance rate over 95%.

An important component of being involved in an activity or sport at Howell is giving back and being involved in the community through various outreach programs. During the first quarter, the fall programs served 1057 hours and raised $16,889 for local charities.

Being involved in an activity or sport at Howell is a vital part of the development of a student. Activities, clubs and sports at Howell work to not only develop the specific skills in the activity but also to support academic growth and involvement in the community. Thank you to all of our fall coaches, sponsors, parents and the community for their support of our student-participants.
