This week, our fifth grade Huskies began M-Step testing. They tested in the areas of math and science. In the coming weeks, all third through eighth graders will take the M-Step. In May, all of our Huskies will also take the NWEA assessment. To ensure your students are prepared for testing, they should:

  • Get a good night’s sleep.

  • Have a healthy breakfast.

  • Bring a healthy snack.

  • Remind them to believe in themselves.

Dare to be remarkable, Huskies!

Healthy Huskies

Big picture
We want the fourth term to be as safe and healthy as possible. To achieve this it is imperative that you are symptom-checking your Husky each morning. Should your student/s display any symptoms of sickness, please keep them home. Power of the Pack!
If you or your Husky receives a positive COVID result, please contact the school as soon as possible. On a weekend or in the evening, you can email any of the administrators. There are measures that we have to take immediately, including contacting the health department if a student tests positive. Thank you.

Staff Appreciation Week is May 3rd thru May 7th

What you and your student can do to get involved during this week:

Students:

There is no gift too big or too small to honor our teachers and staff during this week. Most importantly, we ask that you remember to say a simple “THANK YOU” to them. Due to the current restrictions and parents not being allowed in the building, we have made the "Favorite Things" list digital this year. Please click the link below if you are interested in doing something extra special this year!

Staff Appreciation_Favorite Things

• Write a “Thank You” to teacher(s) or staff member(s).

• Bring in a special treat or gift for your teacher(s) or staff member(s).

Thank you,

Holly Academy PTO

PTO Elections

Elections for the PTO Board are held at the May meeting. There will be some turnover of our current Board for the 21/22 school year. Typically, we like prospective candidates to have attended three PTO meetings prior to being nominated for a Board seat. Should you be interested and not meet this requirement, please follow-through by emailing PTO.hollyacademy@gmail.com, we do not want to turn away any candidates that have a passion to serve! Power of the Pack!
