RHS Weekly Update
September 23, 2022
All RHS Parents
Good evening Romeo High School Parents,
We're learning from the middle school and using the Smore program to better organize our weekly updates. Hopefully this will keep things better organized and easier for you all to access in the future if needed. I'll be sharing this with students too, so you'll continue to get the same information they get. If I do send them something additional, I'll be sure to share that with parents too.
We have quite a bit of information this week, so please read through when you have time. We've organized things by grade level to help save everyone some time. Also, our first student-produced newsletter of the year is available this week and located in our "documents" section below. There is a lot of great information this month including all information on Homecoming 2022.
Have a great weekend!
Mr. Osebold
Schoology Parent Access
At 6:00 PM tonight, you will receive an email with instructions of how to access your child's Schoology account and courses. This email will contain your child's unique Schoology Access ID which will be required to create a parent account. If you already created a parent account, you do not need to do so again, but instructions on how to log in will be included in this email as well.
RHS After Hours
If you've been to our school, you know it's one of the busiest places in Romeo; during and after school. In addition to the many teams and organizations, we also have over 30 clubs to fit almost any student interest. We also open our Media Center after school (M-Th) for students to have a quiet place to work, study, or get help from teachers. The document below contains more information on all that is available for our Romeo students:

PTO/Parent Advisory Group
With school returning to normal, it's time to get our PTO back up and running. However, starting this year we are transitioning our PTO into a Parent Advisory Group. The purpose of the group will be to meet bi-monthly (every other month) and work together to solve issues facing our students and school. If you are interested in being a part of this group, please complete the form below:

Cum Laude Recognition System
Starting with the Class of 2025 and beyond (current 10th grade and 9th grade students), Romeo High School will begin using a cum laude honors recognition system for graduates of Romeo High School. There will be no change to our current recognition system for our current seniors and juniors as we didn’t feel it would be fair to make a change in their second half of high school. The linked letter below further details this new recognition system:

Counseling Corner
Attention RHS Students and Parents, please take a look at the counseling website link for valuable information from our counselors about the college planning process. We hope that this information regarding college applications, transcripts, financial aid, scholarships, and more will help guide not only our seniors, but all students as they plan their postsecondary future. We have also attached a slideshow for seniors with specific college application information. Additionally, RHS counselors will be available in the main commons during all lunches on Wednesdays through the end of October for student walk-up questions and college application support for our seniors.
