What if my child is learning in person at school? Where do they get school lunch?
If your child is learning in school, your child is required to bring the school lunch to school with them. Participation in the district offered school meal progarm is optional. If you choose to participate, school meals should be picked up on Wednesday to bring to school. If you choose not to particiapte, your family can choose to make lunch at home to bring with them for consumption at school. Thermal totes are recommended so your child can safely take the cold meals to school as the items are perishable. No meals or milk will be provided at school on in person school days. Parents/guardians are required to send meals with their child and are encouraged to send refillable water bottles with their child.
What if my child is remote learning or not able to attend in person learning on any specific day?
Curbside meals are available to all children (18 and younger) no matter where they are learning. All students are welcome to meals at no charge during the designated curbside pick up times at Hadley Junior High.
What is the menu?
Menus are posted on the Nutrition page of the website. Click here to go directly to the page. Menus meet the nutritional guidelines for the USDA funded National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. Meals contain all components of the school meal: entrée, fruit, and vegetables.
What if I need vegetarian meals or have a child that needs accommodations due to a severe food allergy?
All meals have a vegetarian item, as any meat items are packed separately, so there is no need to place a special request for vegetarian meals. If you need an accommodation due to food allergy, please CLICK HERE to complete a menu modification form.
What if I cannot pick up meals?
Please contact Tess Ngo, Supervisor of Food & Nutrition Services, and we will work to accommodate families on a case by case basis through our home meal delivery system.
