MCA Makeup
For students that attend school in the building, and who were quarantined or absent during school-wide testing, we will not do a one-day make-up. Instead, we will plan a schedule and pull students over the next two weeks and pull students from their daily schedule to complete the MCA exam.
If you would prefer to opt out of testing, please contact testing coordinator, Laura Youngquist, at youngquistl@district279.org.
Again, thank you for all you do to support the success of our students.

What To Do...
ABSENCES
If your child is going to be late or absent from school, please call the school with the reason for the absence. The telephone call eliminates the need to send a note with your student when he/she returns to school. We would appreciate having the call between the hours of 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Excused absences consist of illness, medical appointments, and family emergency situations such as a funeral. Oversleeping, missing the bus, or skipping school are not excused and are considered truancy.
MGMS 24 Hour Attendance Line: 763-315-7603.
APPOINTMENTS/EARLY RELEASE
A parent/guardian must send a note excusing their student from school. The student must bring the note to the Student Services office before school to get a pass. When it is time for the student to leave school, they must sign out in the main office. If a student does not have a note, a parent/guardian is required to come into the office with a photo ID to sign out their student. This procedure is in place to ensure student safety.

Picking Up & Dropping Off
Do to the amount of families choosing to drop off or pick up their child from MGMS, we need to make an adjustment to how you will line up to wait. The change is how you enter the lot. You will no longer be able to turn left into the lot as the line is backing up all the way to Hemlock Lane, blocking the intersection. Effective immediately, you will only be able to take a right into the lot. When you arrive, if the line is already at the entrance of the lot, please line up on the shoulder of the Westbound lane on Eagle Lake Blvd. To avoid having to turn around, please see the map below.
Thank you.
