Numero Club
Numero Club is starting at Padbury Catholic Primary School!
Mrs Bubnich has kindly offered to teach students and facilitate games between children.
Numero Club will run from 7:45am - 8:20am on Wednesday mornings in Year 4W, starting next week.
Students from Year 3 to Year 6 are welcome to participate. Unfortunately, siblings of those playing cannot be supervised at this time of the morning.
For those who are new to Numero, please see the link below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9Ml6zzNi0E
Before School Procedure
When students in Year 1 to Year 6 arrive in the morning, they are to place their bag at the classroom and move to the amphitheatre steps until the bell goes at 8:30am. Parents who stay and wait with their children are also asked to wait in the amphitheatre to support us with student supervision at this time of the morning. Thanks in advance for your support.
After School Procedures
Children may be collected from the Kiss and Ride which is supervised by staff until 3:20pm, after which, any child left is taken to the office and Mrs Ellen will phone parents to collect.
Parents may also collect children directly from the classroom however, parents must ensure they are at the classroom door by 3pm. If you normally collect from the classroom and your child is not collected at 3pm, they will be asked to go to the Kiss and Ride where they will be supervised until 3:20pm. You can walk to the Kiss and Ride shelter to collect your child from there.
Children are not to be waiting to be collected from any other area in the school. For example, children cannot wait for parents on the oval, on the playground etc. Staff will send your child to the Kiss and Ride area if they find them waiting in another area.
Children are not to be playing on the playground after school unless they are being supervised by their own parent.
Children who are walking or riding home are to leave the school when the bell goes at 3pm. Please remind your child.

EXTENSION
We are excited to share with you the latest news from our Year 6 Extension group. Our students have been hard at work building solar cars and experimenting with different ways to capture maximum solar energy to propel their vehicles.
Their efforts are aimed at securing a spot in a solar car challenge with neighbouring Perth schools. This exciting competition will test their knowledge and skills in mechanics, energy and innovation.
Each week our students are presented with a new challenge designed to help them understand the mechanics of the car, what they can manipulate and how to best build a car that can capture solar energy efficiently and travel straight along a 20-metre track.
The students have been thoroughly engaged in this project, using a variety of materials and tools to build their cars. They have learned about the different types of solar cells, how to calculate the efficiency of their designs, and how to optimize the placement of their solar panels.
We are extremely proud of our Year 6 Extension group and the progress they have made in this exciting project. We believe that this experience will help them develop critical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork skills, which will benefit them in their future studies and careers.

Seasons for Growth
This year we will be offering the Seasons for Growth program at Padbury Catholic.
Seasons for Growth is a peer support program designed especially for children who are experiencing painful transitions, such as a parent separation, divorce, death or a parent working away (FIFO). This program can also benefit children who have moved from other countries, states or schools.
If you feel this program may be of benefit to your child please complete the attached form and return it by March 28. I will then make contact with you to discuss the suitability of the program for your child.
Why is school attendance so important?
Why is school attendance so important?
· Learning is a building process, and it is important not to miss any of the steps
· Consistency builds success in learning
· More school equals more opportunities for social-emotional learning and more opportunities for building self-worth
· Students become more comfortable and increase their risk-taking in learning when they are regularly at school
