The Alabama State Department of Education is implementing a new benchmark assessment — the Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program (ACAP) Summative Assessment — for students in grades 2-8. The testing window for the ACAP Summative is March 15 - April 30, 2021.
The ACAP Summative is a fixed-form, online assessment that is aligned to the Alabama Course of Study Standards.
The content areas tested are English language arts and math for grades 2-8 and science for grades 4, 6, and 8.
The assessment is timed.
IMPORTANT:
If a student misses a testing session or arrives after a session begins, the student will have to make up the session at another time. Please make every possible effort to have your child at school on his/her testing days. However, we understand and prefer for students who are sick to stay home!
No anticipated absences will be excused if missing a scheduled testing day.
If you have questions about the ACAP Summative, please contact Dr. Stocks or Mrs. White.

Congratulations to our 2021 Finley Character Award Recipients
At the elementary level, each teacher nominates a student from his/her class. Then, one of those nominees is selected to represent the grade level. We celebrated our class nominees with a popsicle party last week and celebrated our grade level recipients at a breakfast this week.
We are proud of these students and encourage all of our students to strive to be respectful, kind, helpful, and caring.
