Nuclear Power... Friend or Foe?
WHY WE SHOULDN'T USE NUCLEAR POWER
"Each year, enormous quantities of radioactive waste are created during the nuclear fuel process, including 2,000 metric tons of high-level radioactive waste"
What EXACTLY is nuclear power?
It is basically like the domino effect with fission. Once one particle splits the others follow suit continuously.
It's different with fusion though. Fusion occurs when two light nuclei combine to become a heavier nuclei. It usually happens at high temperatures. Like sun temperatures. An example of this can be when hydrogen turns to helium on the sun.

“There is no safe level of exposure and there is no dose of radiation so low that the risk of a malignancy is zero" -Dr. Karl Z. Morgan, dubbed the father of Health Physics
THE DANGERS OF NUCLEAR POWER
"Yeah, it does. The realization of what happened comes only later, after you realize what you got afterwards. You know, I experienced cancer when I was 21 and now I'm kind of good and everything works out fine. So I just want to put out awareness about this, what happened and be a little bit more cautious." - Yuryi Litvinov A survivor of the Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster
"This is even before taking into account the astounding cleanup and health costs caused by radioactive waste pollution and nuclear meltdowns. Cleaning up Fukushima, if ever possible, will cost at least $100 billion and could be more than double that."

" A 1997 study found that those people living downwind of the reactor at the time of the event were two to ten times more likely to contract lung cancer or leukemia than those living upwind of the radioactive fallout"

Three GE engineering supervisors who helped design the Fukushima plants resigned because they felt that the plants were too dangerous. They noted, “We could no longer justify devoting our life energies to the continued development and expansion of nuclear fission power- a system we believe to be so dangerous that it now threatens the very existence of life on this planet.”
Rewnewable Energy Questions
What are other renewable energy sources that we could use in place of nuclear energy?
What are the benefits of using OTHER types of renewable energy?
It keeps our atmosphere clean. It emits little to no greenhouse gasses and net carbon emissions, while depleting natural resources and no CO2 waste products. It will draw back the amount of toxic air pollution. It helps us protect the air from toxic pollution which in turn make people healthier.
It helps stabilize high energy prices. Since it only really relies on invested money and not rising and decreasing cost of natural resources governments around the world would only be paying a small amount on it and can deal with other serious issues. In fact the United States has the best wind resources in the world. Now that energy is the most cost effective source of energy, and technology has improved on wind turbines, it helps produce more cost effective manufacturing plants. Wind is a reliable source of electricity, as well as solar energy
