- Items are secure and CANNOT be used with students for instruction
- Acuity is a diagnostic assessment tool (not high-stakes), used to improve instruction and guide intervention plans for students in a timely manner and is not to be used for a classroom grade.
- An Alternative (Retester) Acuity Testing Window is available to allow ECA Retesters to take Predictive A, B, & C prior to the Early Winter ECA. These alternative forms do not provide Predictive Indicators for how a student will perform on ECA.
- By default Acuity Reports align to 2014 Indiana Academic Standards, teachers need to switch reports back to older Indiana State Standards to correctly view testing information.
Accommodations
- Schools must administer any and all tests according to students IEP, 504, and ILP plans. Schools follow the IEP accommodations for Acuity, as the school would for ISTEP+, or ECA.
- If needed for an accommodation, Paper copies can be obtained by contacting the Office of Performance, Assessment, and Research or the Office of Special Education.
- Read Aloud: Acuity does not provide a screen reading tool and none of the ELA questions can be read aloud.

Predictive - Algebra 1

- Roughly 2/3 of the Predictive A test is composed of 8th grade Math standards, 1/3 of the Predictive B test is composed of 8th grade Math standards, and the Predictive C test is composed of all Algebra level questions.

- Is allowed for Acuity, but is not necessary to complete the test (a copy is provided in the Predictive Toolkit)

- Students should not use a calculator unless it is specified in an IEP.
