Walk-A-Thon
- I want to thank PTO, all the families, students, and staff for a stupendous walk-a-thon! Look in next week's Howbert Happenings for the results of the fundraiser.
Student Masks
- Please try to send your child with a mask to school each day. We have disposable masks for when students forget, but they do not always last very long during the day and students do not like them as much as a cloth mask.

Howbert PTO
PTO MEETINGS
The Howbert PTO meets the 2nd Thursday of every month at 4pm. We will be meeting in-person but will also have a virtual option for those that would prefer to attend on WebEx. Our next meeting is on Thursday, October 14th at 4pm.
We would love to see you at the meetings! It is a great way to share your thoughts, hear about happenings in the school and support the Howbert staff and students. And you don't have to commit to anything! Come to as many or as few meetings as works for you and your schedule.

We're a Box Tops School! This year, we want to earn $500 to go towards outdoor education. We have already earned $41 towards our goal!
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: Buy participating products and use the Box Tops mobile app to scan your store receipt. The app identifies eligible products and automatically adds Box Tops to your designated school's earnings online. Even if you’re shopping online or doing grocery pickup, you can still submit your digital or email receipt and earn Box Tops. Twice a year, our school gets a check!
Your earnings really do add up. The more people that participate, the bigger the impact we can make. So let's give our teachers the support they need and give more kids the opportunity to dream. Little by little, we can help make a big difference.
Community Cafe: Creating Ecosystems of Equity
Please join the D11 Department of Equity and Inclusion to discuss the results of our equity audit findings. We will also discuss the strategies necessary to create ecosystems of equity. All meetings will begin at 5:30 pm at the following locations and dates:
- Palmer High School - September 23
- Coronado High School - September 30
- Mitchell High School - October 5
- Doherty High School - October 21
- Roy J. Wasson Academic Campus - November 4
Meetings will also be available virtually via Webex. For more information about the meetings and how to join with Webex, please see the attached flyer and go to www.d11.org/equity.
Thank you.
