May Day

We are preparing for our annual May Day Celebration Friday from 12:30 to 1:15. Please join us if you can. Here is a link of some ways you can help out. This will be the last year your child participates in the May Day Celebration, as it is a K-2 event. Students should wear spring inspired dresses and shorts. Fairy wings and capes are welcome.

Poem in Your Pocket Day

Celebrate National Poem in Your Pocket Day! On Thursday evening, April 30th from 6:00 to 7:30 The Hop on Merrimon Avenue will give students who read a poem aloud, a free kid’s scoop of ice cream.

See you at the K-2 Dance Friday!

The dance is from 5:30 to 7:00 in the gym. The event is free and siblings are welcome, but all children need to be accompanied by an adult.

Stand Against Racism

The Stand Against Racism was an amazing experience and the support from the community was overwhelming. I hope the kids felt empowered to have their voices heard. Some of them were probably hoarse Friday evening from all the chanting. I hope you and your family will continue to have honest discussions about racism and how it affects our community.

Thailand Day

I hope your child came home talking about Thailand Day last week. It was an awesome day and we greatly appreciate Ms. Theisen and Ms. Duft for sharing their Thailand experience with all of us. Here are a few pictures from this school-wide event.
