Mount Holly Elementary School Mighty Mustangs 2/19/21

Message from Mrs. Jones

I hope you had a great week!

The students and staff continue to work hard each day. As we continue to work collaboratively to keep everyone safe, we appreciate you reminding your child to wear their mask throughout the school day and properly. Also, as the temperatures continue to drop, please remind your child to dress warmly for the cold weather.

Thanks so much and have a good weekend!

Children First,

Mrs. Jones

Black History Fact of the Day

I continue to be amazed at the facts shared each day related to Black History Month. One to two students per class participate in the morning announcements. They read information related to a famous African American or share an interesting fact. Below, Bryson and Johmarionna from Mrs. Lipe's 3rd grade class share information about Hank "Hammerin" Aaron. They did an excellent job! Each day prior to their announcement, the students express feeling nervous. However, due to their research as a class and preparation/support by their teacher, they end up knocking it out the park!

Message from Kim Ham, Art Teacher

Each year, the York County Center for The Arts hosts a Visual Arts Exhibit that showcases student artwork from the Elementary through High Schools of Rock Hill School District Three. As a result of the Covid restrictions, there will not be a student reception to recognize these students. Because the act of viewing artwork is part of the artistic process, we are offering a Virtual Three Dimensional tour of this year’s exhibit. Please click the below link for this virtual tour.
