Culturally Relevant and Sustaining Education (CRSE)

On May 31st, House Bill 1269 was referred to the Education Committee. Titled "Abrogation of Culturally Relevant and Sustaining Education (CR-SE)," this bill seeks to repeal the implementation of culturally relevant and sustaining education from Chapter 49.


The bill states, "Notwithstanding any other provision of law, culturally relevant and sustaining education may not be integrated into education preparation, induction and continuing professional development programs."

Career Readiness Course

RIU6 is excited to host izzit, a free Workforce Innovation Now (W.I.N. Program) for secondary students. This is a free turn-key career readiness course curriculum that covers financial/digital literacy, employability skills, and work-based learning components for our students.
