Curriculum Night

Thank you to all of our families who attended our annual Curriculum Night on Thursday. We look forward to working cooperatively with you so that your child(ren) have a successful year.

Ms. Rizer and Mrs. Lewin's classes had fun preparing for the evening. They made self portraits and put them at their seats and their parents had to try and guess which "student" was them. Check out the pictures below!

Classroom Happenings!

Big picture

In Mrs. Angelone's class, students are using maps, satellite images, photographs, and other representations to explain relationships between the locations of places and regions, and changes in their environmental characteristics.

Mrs. Medbery's class is learning to relate counting to addition and subtraction (e.g., by counting on 1 to add 1). These first graders are off to a fantastic start and are easily able to figure out the correct answer!

Fingerprinting for Volunteers

Volunteers are welcome! If you are interested in volunteering to assist a classroom activity, to help run the book fair, to assist with field day, or any other activity that you will be under the direct supervision of a certified teacher, fingerprinting is not required. If you are interested in chaperoning a field trip, or if you are interested in volunteering where you will be supervising students without the direct supervision of a certified teacher, fingerprinting is required. All volunteers are required to complete our school volunteer paperwork each year. Volunteers are also required to complete the mandatory DCF background check if you have not previously done so. All forms may be accessed via the main office.
